How the party runs

What it costs per guest

Pricing is per painter, and the per-head rate falls as the group grows — so a party of twenty costs meaningfully less per guest than a party of eight. Express is the lower rate, Classic the longer session.

At the studio or at your place

Our studio is the simplest option — everything is there, nothing needs protecting, and cleanup is not your problem.

Your venue works too: a function room, a condo common area, a home with enough table space. What a mobile session needs is fairly basic — tables, chairs, and somewhere flat to leave wet canvases for a few hours. That last one is the constraint people forget. Twenty paintings need twenty flat surfaces nobody will lean on.

Formats worth considering

• Classic canvas. The default. Everyone paints their own, 30x40cm.
• Express. One hour, smaller canvas. The right call for children and for parties where painting is one part of the afternoon.
• Neon. Under blacklight with UV paint. Very popular for teenagers, and the low light removes self-consciousness.
• Tote bags. Guests leave with something they will use rather than store.
• Team mural. One large canvas painted by everyone, which suits a milestone birthday where the point is a keepsake for the person whose birthday it is.

Practical things that make it go well

• Tell guests to wear old clothes. Aprons are provided and acrylic still gets through. It does not come out.
• Do not set a theme. A brief adds pressure, which is exactly what the format is designed to remove. If the birthday person wants one, keep it loose.
• Paint first, eat after. Attention is best at the start, and canvases need drying time anyway.
• Plan the drying space before the day. The single most common oversight.
• Take the photo at the end, with the canvases. Not at the start.

Weekend afternoons book first, and further ahead than people expect. Weekday sessions are easier to secure and easier to price.
