Cheap Art Jamming Singapore

A company group painting at long tables during a team session

Quick answer: a DIY kit runs from $35 per kit, a facilitated studio session from $25 per person, and larger corporate or school groups are usually quoted per event. Where you land inside that range depends mostly on group size, session length and whether you come to us or we come to you.

Below is how each format is priced, what genuinely moves the number, and the questions worth asking any provider before you compare quotes.

The three ways art jamming is priced

1. DIY, at home (materials only). The cheapest route by some distance. Buying canvases, acrylics and brushes yourself can come in under ten dollars a head for a small group, and a delivered DIY kit starts from $35 with everything sorted and nothing to shop for. Best for couples, families and small groups who are happy to set up and clean up themselves. Our guide to art jamming at home covers what you actually need.

2. Facilitated session, per person. The standard format for organised groups. Express starts from $25 per person for an hour on a 20x20cm canvas; the Classic session starts from $32 per person for 2.5 hours on a 30x40cm canvas. Both include the canvas, paints, brushes, aprons and a facilitator, and the painting goes home with whoever made it. Minimum booking is five painters.

3. Per-event quotes (corporate, school, large groups). Past about thirty people, per-head rates settle at their lowest and the conversation shifts to logistics — venue, timing, how many facilitators, whether you want an ice breaker to open the session. Sessions run at our studio or at your office, and we quote the whole event rather than a headline rate.

What actually moves the price

FactorEffect
Group sizePer-head rates step down as the group grows; the biggest drop is at the larger bands
Session lengthExpress to Classic is the main upgrade — more time and a bigger canvas
Studio or your venueOur studio is the simplest to price; coming to you is factored into the quote
FormatNeon, tote bags and team murals each price slightly differently to a standard canvas
Weekday or weekendWeekday afternoons are the easiest slots to book and to price
Add-onsEasels, extra canvases, ice breakers — all optional and itemised separately

Five questions worth asking any provider

  1. What size is the canvas? A low per-head price on a small canvas is a different offer to a larger one, and the two are often listed side by side as though they are the same thing.
  2. Is a facilitator included, or is this materials-and-a-room? Both are legitimate, but they are not the same product, and the difference tends to surface on the day.
  3. Is travel included? If someone is coming to your venue, ask whether that sits inside the quoted rate or gets added later.
  4. What happens if the headcount drops? Minimum-booking clauses are normal — it is just better to know the number before you confirm.
  5. What are the deposit and change terms? Get the cut-off for changes in writing, particularly if your date is still moving.

Three typical bookings

  • Family or small group, six painters at home. A DIY kit each, or one shared set of materials. Cheapest option available, and the only one with no minimum to meet.
  • Birthday or social group, twelve painters at the studio. Express suits most groups this size — an hour is about right, especially with children in the mix — at $25 per person.
  • Corporate session, forty people at your office. Classic at the larger-group rate, from $32 per person, quoted as an event with setup, facilitation and cleanup included.

How it compares to the alternatives

Per person, art jamming sits at the affordable end of group activities in Singapore — below most pottery and cooking classes, roughly level with terrarium and candle-making workshops, and above a straightforward meal out. Two things set it apart at that price point.

The first is that everyone is occupied for the whole session rather than taking turns. The second is that people leave with something. A tote bag session takes that further — it lands between Express and Classic on price, and unlike a canvas, most people use the result.

Getting a number for your group

Send your date and a rough headcount and we will come back with an itemised quote. Nothing needs to be confirmed first, and a rough number is enough to price against — if you are close to a larger group size, we will tell you, because it usually changes the rate for everyone.
